Herobed vs Tuft & Needle

If you’re not getting the best sleep possible each night, you’re not able to tackle each new challenge with everything you’ve got. A new mattress that gives you the support, pain relief, and comfort you need is the first step to better sleep. Let’s take a look at two mattresses and see which one may be able to help you.

Tuft and Needle makes a memory foam mattress available online that’s priced lower than many others on the market. Its proprietary Adaptive memory foam is said to work for everyone. The firmness changes according to pressure applied by each sleeper.

Herobed is the newest hybrid mattress available and delivers rejuvenating sleep to everyday heroes, like you. By combining over 3,000 micro coils with gel-infused memory foam, it provides contouring comfort, playful bounce, healthy support, and a cool sleep surface.

Are Herobed’s advantages worth paying a little more for? Let’s find out.

The Mattress Construction

Tuft and Needle mattresses are built with 10 inches of foam, broken into two layers:

  • Support foam as the foundation.
  • Proprietary Adaptive foam for comfort.

Herobed is made of 10.5 inches of materials including high-quality foam and coils separated into five layers:

  • High-density poly foam at the base.
  • 891 patented Posturfil pocketed coils to provide support, pressure relief, and ventilation.
  • Transitional poly foam to aid in motion transfer.
  • Over 2,000 pocketed micro coils for even more support and comfort.
  • Gel-infused CoolFlow, an open-cell memory foam that’s odorless and dissipates heat three times faster than conventional memory foam.

The Box

Tuft and Needle ships in a plain white box with black letters.

Herobed comes in a box covered in pictures of everyday heroes including a teacher, a mom, and a firefighter. A cape and crayons are provided inside the box, encouraging parents to spend some quality time with their loved ones by turning that box into a work of art! The box coincides with Herobed’s #TagAHero campaign, in which everyday unsung heroes are celebrated and nominated to be considered for a free Herobed mattress.

About Tuft and Needle

In 2013, Tuft and Needle began making mattresses out of just two layers of foam, stating that more layers meant hotter sleeping. Next, they cut out the middleman – brick and mortar retailers – so they could charge less for their mattresses and started shipping them straight to consumers. We think that have done some good things in the industry, and if you are looking for this kind of memory foam bed, Tuft and Needle is a brand you should consider.

About Herobed

Herobed was developed in 2016 to arm everyday heroes with a great night’s sleep. By combining micro coils with the perfect blend of gel-infused high-density foams, Herobed offers an unprecedented mix of contouring comfort and cooling capacity not found in traditional foam beds. We at  Herobed set out to make a difference to those who make a difference every day – and are doing it with a quality mattress shipped straight to your door.

So, Which Mattress Provides the Perfect Sleep Surface?

Tuft and Needle offers a mattress that’s less expensive than other all-foam brands. If you prefer a firmer sleep surface and like to sleep on your stomach, it may be a good purchase. Herobed’s hybrid mattress combines the comfort of memory foam with the bounce and long-lasting support of micro coils – a good formula whether you sleep on your back, side, or stomach. If you are interested in a hybrid mattress that is proven to last longer, offer a comfortable sleep in any position, and give you playful bounce, Herobed may be just right for you.
